“Oliver and Jumpy, Stories 13-15(Oliver and Jumpy, the cat series”

The book for review is “Oliver and Jumpy, Stories 13-15(Oliver and Jumpy, the cat series” by Werner Stejskal. I would place this in between a picture book and those beginning to read.

Oliver is a cat who lives in a tree house, his friend Jumpy is a kangaroo. This short book contains three short stories. The first one is about the responsibility of babysitting a young bear who happens to get lost and Oliver needs to find. The second story is about a tigress who has lost her baby and is feeling really low. That is until she becomes in charge of some piglets who she cares for as her own. The last story is about magic and a different world.

This is the first book I have read in this series. My first impression was wow at the illustrations. They shine and pop on each and every page. What a wonderful treat for children as they go over this book.

The book is just the right size for beginners and children who like picture books.
