“The Girl Who Stopped Swimming” by Joshilyn Jackson

“The Girl Who Stopped Swimming”- I am at odds with how I feel about this book. It is about a family whose daughter’s friend dies in their back pool. The family is not your ordinary family. It includes a perverted uncle, a sister who is married to a homosexual, a mom who is in denial in just about everything and a wife who fears her husband is cheating. When it came time to tie up the loose ends of the child’s murder, to me, it seemed it was done quickly just to get it out of the way. It seemed some thoughts were scattered. There were some funny parts but not enough for me to like this book as a whole. I finished the book and just thought it was an okay book.
