“Story Engineering” by Larry Brooks

I am reviewing the book “Story Engineering” by Larry Brooks.

This is a must book to read if you are a writer. I have completed my first book and was uncertain how ready it was. This book showed me how I was not. It breaks down the book into 6 components. There are four elemental competencies which include concept, character, theme and story(plot). There are two executional competencies which include scene construction and writing voice. The book breaks into great detail on how to accomplish each. The book is laid out in a way that is concise and easy to understand. There are even questions listed that you should ask yourself about your story or book. If you can’t adequately answer them, then your story needs help. The great part is anyone can do this, it is not rocket science.

I received this book for free in exchange for 2 reviews.
